Merry Christmas to all our patients, family and friends! As we all get ready to celebrate the holiday with our loved ones, Dr. Auvenshine, Dr. Pettit and the entire team at MedCenter TMJ want to take a moment to say thank you to everyone that made this such a wonderful year.
One of the most important changes for MedCenter TMJ this year was bringing Dr. Pettit onto the team. Dr. Auvenshine served as a teacher and mentor to Dr. Pettit during his three years of residency at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center, where he showed great promise in treating craniomandibular disorders. We’ve been so fortunate to help many TMJ patients in the Houston area, and bringing Dr. Pettit on board will enable us to provide TMJ care to even more people. He has been a welcome addition that has helped make this our most successful year to date.
Throughout the year Dr. Auvenshine has been sharing his knowledge with colleagues all over the country through his participation in organizations like the American Academy of Orofacial Pain. He was also able to share his insights and experience with students at The University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston. This work allows the MedCenter TMJ team to help far more patients beyond those who are treated by Dr. Auvenshine and Dr. Pettit.
We’ve incorporated new treatment options and worked to equip our practice with the most cutting-edge tools for accurately diagnosing and treating TMD. It’s been an exciting year that has seen a significant amount of growth for MedCenter TMJ, and next year promises to be just as successful.
Looking Forward to 2015
With a little more than a week to go before the New Year, MedCenter TMJ is gearing up for a great 2015. Dr. Auvenshine is looking forward to continuing his lectures at the AACP’s 2014-2015 Craniofacial Pain Mini-Residency Program. The program serves as an opportunity for dentists to learn about new techniques and findings that help to improve TMJ patient care.
We are also looking forward to participating as a team during dentistry seminars like those that are given during the Star of the South Dental Conference. In the coming year we’ll continue to expand our knowledge and offer our patients the most advanced treatment options available.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
