MedCenter TMJ is pleased to incorporate joint vibration analysis (JVA) technology in our daily operations. Bio-JVA is based on measuring the friction created when various surfaces rub together. With a normal, healthy jaw joint, there is minimal vibration when the mouth is opened and closed. When a problem exists, there is some measure of friction and vibration. The more friction present with movement of the joint, the greater the vibration will be measured. As part of your initial evaluation, JVA will enable us to gain a better understanding of your jaw joint function, so we can make quicker and more accurate diagnoses of TMJ-related problems.
